It was all fun and excitement during the private screening/ cocktail event of the Planet of the Apes sequel, ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ which was held at IMAX cinema, Lekki last Friday, 7 July.

The screening/cocktail event which was organised by the sole distributor of the movie in Nigeria, FilmOne Distribution Limited was top-notch; the ‘forest like’ decoration depicts the setting of the movie.

The event was attended by the media and notable celebrities like Toyin Abraham, Joro Olumofin, Humblesmith, Bob Ovie Kelly, Nkechi Sunday Blessing and others.

The movie which will make its cinema debut on 14 July tells the tale of Caesar and his apes, two years after the events of Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. They are forced into a deadly conflict with an army of humans led by a ruthless Colonel. After the apes suffer unimaginable losses, Caesar wrestles with his darker instincts and begins his own mythic quest to avenge his kind. As the journey finally brings them face to face, Caesar and the Colonel are pitted against each other in an epic battle that will determine the fate of both their species and the future of the planet.

According to Mr Moses Babatope, Executive Director of Filmone Distribution Limited, “The special effects and action sequences in this film will blow you away. It’s action on a whole different level”
