DSP Magaji Majiya, Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement to newsmen in Kano on Monday, said that the aged man, Aminu Bello was arrested for his alleged crime.
DSP Magaji Majiya revealed that the suspect was arrested at Gaida Fadama quarters for sexually assaulting the eight-year-old girl.
He reportedly gave her N400 before he went ahead to commit the crime on the underaged girl.
“He confessed to the crime and investigation is still in progress,” Majiya said.
