Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has expressed his delight after scoring his first goal for his new Turkish top flight club Bursaspor, Completesportsnigeria.com reports.
Bursaspor defeated English Championship club Leeds United 3-0 in a pre-season friendly in Austria on Monday.
Ekong opened the scoring for Bursaspor in the 10th minute before Tomas Necid made it 2-0 in the 63rd minute.
With eight minutes remaining, Sinan Bakis rounded off the scoring to seal the win for Bursaspor.
“First friendly game against Leeds United. Happy with the win and my first goal for @BursasporSK!” Ekong wrote on his Twitter handle on Monday night.
A bronze medal winner at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Ekong joined Bursaspor from KAA Gent of Belgium on a three-year deal this summer.
