UYO FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY LAWMAKERS PAY CONDOLENCE VISIT TO PRINCE UWEM ITA ETUK.

The four Lawmakers representing the four State Constituencies that constitutes Uyo Federal Constituency has paid a condolence visit to the Political leader of Uyo Federal Constituency, Prince Uwem Ita Etuk ahead of the funeral obsequies of his late father,His Royal Majesty Edidem Ita Bassey Etuk who will be laid to rest on Friday 19th May, 2017.

The Lawmakers collectively went to share in the grief of the astute politician and to assure him of their massive support throughout the funeral arrangements.

In the delegation to pay the visit included, the Honourable Member representing Ibesikpo Asutan in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt.Hon.(Elder) Aniekan Uko; the Honourable Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Rt. Hon. ( Elder ) Mark Esset; the Honourable Member representing Uruan State Constituency, Hon. Aniekan Bassey & the Honourable Member representing Uyo State Constituency, Hon. Monday Eyo Okon.

Acknowledging the visit, Prince Uwem Ita Etuk thanked the Lawmakers for coming to give him a renewed strength on the demise of his father, describing the gesture as unprecedented and worthy of commendation.

The Uyo federal constituency political leader appreciated all those who have lended their support – morally, financially, through prayers and otherwise to the anticipated success of the funeral rites of his late father.

In their separate speeches, the Lawmakers eulogized the positive impacts the Late Edidem Ita Etuk brought into politics, traditional institutions and governance. They all prayed the Almighty God to grant the soul of the Late Monarch eternal rest in the bosom of Abraham.

The Lawmakers also prayed God to console the family of Late Edidem Ita Bassey Etuk with the fact that, the Monarch lived a life worthy of emulation.

The Lawmakers collectively gave their support towards the obsequies and prayed God to give the Political Leader the strength and focus throughout the funeral arrangement.

It is worthy of note that, His Royal Majesty Edidem Ita Bassey Etuk’s remains will be laid to rest on Friday 19th May, 2017 at Nung Udoe, headquarters of Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area
