By Cavil Inwang|Beckyscouch is a Platform that will give members of the public an opportunity to freely discuss societal issues with particular reference to the vulnerable one's especially children/adults who are victims of sexual abuse and other forms of abuse.
Becky'sCouch TV reality show is anchored by a seasoned Journalist and TV/ Radio presenter, Becky Odungide will soon debut.
The Programme will feature discussants who will appear to share their thoughts on issues that would be discussed during the show.
Becky explained that Becky'sCouch which started a couple of months ago will afford a lot of people the the opportunity to bring to the fore, family issues that will be discussed with a view of proffering solutions to them.
Throwing more light on the programme, the Producer, Becky Odungide explained "Becky'scouch is all about the societal ills.
At about the age of 9, i became very passionate about the TV, and in the community where i lived in Calabar, i saw that a lot of families were having issues and these got so bad because they had no one or platform to share what these challenge were in the family unit.
And at that time i said to my self, i wish i had a platform to bring these people on to talk about these issues that have become a bother to them.
The Parent -Child relationship, the Parent-Teacher relationship, sexual abuse, domestic violence, peer group influence and many other issues were those things I came face to face with, and i knew that no matter how it is, the world revolves around the family.
And so from that time i kept saying to myself ''someday i will create a platform where all of these discourse would be brought up".
She says the TV Show will come up later after awareness is created on Social Media, adding that the show seeks to create a peaceful home on all front and permeate the wider society. According to her "Having a dialogue is very important in the family home"
"What we are doing now on Becky'sCouch is to freely expose the dangers of not discussing such issues like what we are doing now. First you will realize that the family is a stable home. Those things we use to sweep under the carpet has cause a lot of harm"
