Wife of the member representing Uyo Constituency at the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly, Mrs Joyful Uwem Monday Eyo over the weekend reached out to the family of Mr Idongesit Sunday Okon, indigenous of Obio Etoi in Uyo local government whose wife Patience had within the week been delivered of a set of triplet babies.
Mrs Joyful who presented gift Items to the parents as well as cash donations, said she was happy for the safety that God granted the family at child birth. She offered prayers unto God for the children, praying they grow up to become prominent people in the society.
She advised the parent not to despise the circumstance of birth of the children, adding that the good Lord who gave them the children will bless and keep them. She prayed the good Lord to protect the children from diseases and infant mortality. The birth of the children, according to her, will open a vista of new blessings and hope for the family.
Mrs Joyful also commended Dr. Essiet Ime of Dyme Hospital and maternity in Edem Urua for the gesture of reaching out to the public to send help to the poor parents. As well as appreciate the efforts of other well-meaning Nigerians who reached out to the family in whatsoever form. She also thanked her husband, Hon. Monday Okon (Murray) for supporting the family at such a time like now.
The parents of the triplets, who welcomed the wife of the lawmaker expressed happiness and prayed God to uphold the family of the lawmaker as well. Mr Idongesit Okon, a shoememder, who is a father of five children, noted that he never expected the third birth of his children to be triplet, but was full of pride and joy at the birth of the just delivered three boys.
They were billed to be discharged on Tuesday morning from the Dyme Hospital and Maternity, Edem Urua street, off Nsikak Eduok Avenue, Uyo.
