Governor's aide tasks other political parties to take a cue of PDP congresses


The Special Assistant to Akwa Ibom Governor on Inter Party Matters, Hon. Lawrence Udoh has tasked other political parties in the State to take a cue from the orderly and peaceful conduct of PDP Congresses in the State.


Hon. Udoh commended PDP faithful in the State including the leader of the party in the State and his boss, Governor Udom Emmanuel for the exemplary conduct of having to cue to elect ward and chapter executives of the party. His words ’’I must commend highly PDP in the conduct of ward and chapter congresses which was orderly and peaceful. 

I salute the leader of the party in the State, Deacon Udom Emmanuel and other chieftains of the party for accepting to cue to cast their votes. It shows clearly that the party is a people oriented party”.

He called for the sustenance of this approach to election as it will build more confidence in our nascent democracy. 
The link between Akwa Ibom Governor and political parties in the State assured that other political parties will continually render any support the Udom Emmanuel’s administration may require from the Conference Nigerian Political Parties in the State.

Udoh used the opportunity to congratulate his boss for the impactful direction in one year provided in saddling the affairs of the State especially for ensuring that government obligations are met with regard of payment of salaries even when other States had to go for bailout to be able to make this happen.

He called on the Conference of Nigerian political parties (CNPP) in the State to continue to ensure that democracy works despite the odds. 

He stressed that it is expedient for political parties to see the critical need of returning power to the people in line with the cardinal expectations of democracy.
He appealed to members of CNPP to close ranks in the interest of the development of the State.
