Rt. Hon. (Elder) Mark Udo Esset is the Honorable Member representing the united people of Nsit Atai State Constituency, in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and the Chairman, House Committee on Agriculture and Natural Resources.
His desire to achieve an all round success in life is cast in steel and he approaches the journey of life with an unbeatable, unsurpassable, unconquerable, unshakable and unwavering spirit.
Come and gone are the days were ill character of deceit and eye service that had almost consumed the polity. Elder Mark Esset smiled less at the encomiums that could have seemingly hindered his drive, but did more by stooping to identify the issues beneath and beyond encomium, through objectivity which has been his approach to robust representation...... a clear departure from the "chip off the old block"!
In the last eleven months at the helms of affairs as the 'voice' of the united people of Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, it is heart warming to note that in the area of Constituency Services, Rt. Hon. Mark Esset has made use of his leadership skills and Legislative partnership & engagements to attract infrastructural projects to his Constituency - a typical example is the ongoing construction of a 6.5 km Idiaba, Nda Nsit, Ikot Abasi Nsit ;Nsit Atai - Nung Udoe Roads facilitated by the government of Deacon Udom Gabriel Emmanuel. He has facilitated the restoration of electricity and other basic amenities in many communities in Nsit Atai LGA.
Elder Mark Esset does not believe in throwing money at problems. He knows that the enduring solution to lack of jobs is Skills Acquisition Training Programmes. In this direction, he has so far, sponsored over 50 indigenes(across the 3 group of Villages that constitutes Nsit Atai) in various Vocational Skills Acquisition Training Programmes(more to benefit in the next phase). Millions of Naira has so far been invested in the Skill Acquisition Programmes.
He is a noiseless philanthropist, who on a daily basis empowers his constituents with academic scholarships, business start-up grants - most of those persons are now very successful in their endeavors. Penultimate month, Elder Mark Esset in his benevolence doled out a financial empowerment package of 50,000 Naira(Fifty Thousand Naira) each to 30 youths of the Constituency - more of such empowerment largess in sight, consistently.
Rt. Hon. Mark Esset's brand of representation is in advocating and looking out for opportunities to his constituents - especially Employment Opportunities. Scores of his constituents recommended by the Lawmaker have benefited from the diverse Farmers Schemes of the State Government. Other constituents have gained employment in both public and private establishments - courtesy of his recommendations.
His edge is his integrity and technical skills to handle those challenging assignments, policies, plans, projects, ideas and he proffers initiative solutions to problems. Suffice is to say, integrity is the consistency of actions, methods, measures, values, principles, expectations and solutions.
