ITU FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY GETS NEW DAKKADA AMBASSADORS

The serene community of Mbak Itam in Itu Local Government on Wednesday came alive as it hosted the Dakkada awareness and mobilization campaign for Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency.

The campaign organized by the the Akwa Ibom  State Directorate of Marketing and Brand 
Management had in attendance senior government officials, outstanding businessmen, 
entrepreneurs and youths from the Federal Constituency.

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand Management Mr. Sam Edoho who set the tone for the event encouraged participants to key into Governor Udom 
Emmanuel’s vision of creating opportunities for the people of the state.

He said that the Governor was unrelenting in providing jobs, industries and major infrastructures to propel the State to Greatness.

Mr. Edoho took the forum through Governor Emmanuel’s success story in the last ten months in office and urged the new Ambassadors to become role models in their respective communities.

Also speaking, the Commissioner of Finance, Mr. Akan Okon reiterated the sincerity of the 
governor to deliver on his promises to the people.

Mr. Okon said that Gov. Emmanuel placed premium on the people of Itu Federal Constituency which is why the first industrial ground breaking exercise was that of a car assembling plant in Itu.

He said that Gov. Emmanuel’s ingenuity and financial expertise accounts for the record 
achievement in the state despite the economic challenges in the country and called for support to the Governor from Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency.

Also speaking, a frontline motivational speaker Mrs. Aidee Thomas charged the new 
ambassadors to believe in their potentials and be positive in their attitudes to life, adding that with faith in God and hardwork, they would realize their greatness.

Others who spoke at the event include Mr. Raphael Edem, Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Affairs, Moses Armstrong, Special Assistant to the Governor on Agric Project 
Monitoring, Aniefiok Iwa Udofia, Special Assistant to the Governor on Youths and Barr. Mfon 
Udeme, Special Assistant to the Governor on Electoral Matters.

In her vote of thanks, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Marketing and Brand
 Management Mrs. Lydia Udoh commended the good people of Itu/Ibiono Federal Constituency for attending the campaign and charged to them to be good example to others.

No fewer than 50 youths from Itu and Ibiono Local Government Areas were presented with 
certificates as new Dakkada Ambassadors.

So far, Six Federal Constituencies, Eket, Ikot Ekpene, Oron, Oron, Etinan and Abak have been
 visited by the Dakkada Campaign train
