By David D'Genius-UYO-Renewable Energy is the next big thing and the way forward for any booming and thriving economy. The Ministry of Science and Technology ably headed by Dr.Elizabeth Obot is not oblivious of this fact,hence the establishment of the Department of Renewable Energy in the Ministry.
Disclosing this in her office today,Dr. Obot stressed that with the dwindling oil prices and less dependence on fossil fuel,there was need for the Ministry to be proactive and strategically positioned. She stated that in light of this,modalities have commenced for the training of youths in Renewable Energy so they can begin to assume responsibility within the sector.
She maintained that she's committed to ensuring that the youths take part in the activities of Renewable Energy and Energy efficiency solutions.
