Allegations making the rounds that Governor Udom Emmanuel's government has been hijacked by a cabal have been dismissed as false, unfounded and baseless.
Making the assertion in a chat with newsmen, the Honourable Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah, stressed that, Governor Emmanuel has demonstrated overtime that he is serious about his political inclusiveness which is one of his five point agenda.

While insisting that, there is nothing to hide from the people about Governor Emmanuel's sustainable development agenda, Prince Uwah carpeted those insinuating that, the government has been hijacked maintaining that, they are doing great injustice to Governor Emmanuel and playing dirty politics with the development of the state.
Commissioner Uwah commended the governor for what he described as a very informative and revealing interaction with the people which has laid bare his progress report for all to see and shamed critics who wanted to deceive the people with lies, propaganda and blackmail.

On housing delivery, Prince Uwah said, apart from the rehabilitation of the administrative block and completion of Dr Ward Gynecology block at St. Luke's Hospital Anua, and the redevelopment of the defunct 10th Anniversary Hotel for a State Secretariat Annex to house some Government Ministries and agencies still operating from rented buildings, and which will soon be commissioned, Governor Emmanuel remains committed to actualizing and expanding the Housing units embarked upon by the state Government across the state to meet the housing needs of the people.
He commended staff and management of the ministry for working hard in line with the tenets of the current administration to reposition the ministry for efficient service delivery and disclosed that, the ministry is open to handling consultancy and rendering services to the public so as to also generate revenue for the state, adding that, they have very competent and qualified personnel in all aspects of housing delivery to satisfy those who key in to the offer.
Commissioner Uwah expressed confidence that, Governor Emmanuel will not leave any part of the state behind in his development blueprint or abandon any demography of the mass population in his empowerment programmes. He further added that, having been privileged to work closely with the governor as his commissioner, he could without any fear of contradiction attest to the passion, sincerity, integrity, focus and patriotism which inspires every activity of Governor Emmanuel, insisting that Akwa Ibom state is in the right hands and is headed in the right direction towards growth, prosperity and even development.
