[TRENDING] Akwa Ibom State Official Website Upgraded, Gets New Look


The official website of Akwa Ibom State Government www.akwaibomstate.gov.ng will from Wednesday, 30th of March, 2016 wear a new look.

The hint was given by the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Information Communications Technology Engr. Solomon Eyo while highlighting innovative trends he intends to embark on via his office.

The ICT expert was quick to point out that, Akwa Ibom State is blessed with abundant human and natural resources enough to attract investment to the state, and the website is expected to showcase these potentials to the world. In his words "His Excellency's Industrialization strides is geared towards inviting global investors to Akwa Ibom State, hence the need for a functional yet interactive website to showcase investment opportunities, healthy population, a secured state and a dynamic government to a would-be investors'.

Worthy of note is the fact that the upgraded site has unlimited bandwidth & disk storage space, it is hosted on a dedicated server and coded with the best web development programming language, also secured by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) to aid easy communication of government activities to the citizenry, especially those in the diaspora.

Mr Solomon said the website will communicate government information to the public, especially those in the diaspora. Keeping them abreast with the strides of the Governor Udom Emmanuel administration.  Also to feed would be investors with first hand information about the state, in view of brokering partnerships.

He thanked His Excellency, Mr. Udom Emmanuel for the opportunity extended to him to contribute his quota towards his administration's vision of industrializing Akwa Ibom State. Engr. Eyo, also commended the Hononouable Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mr. Aniekan Umanah for providing him with all the materials necessary to develop a new interactive website for the state.
