The raging cold war between former deputy Governor Nsima Ekere and the former governorship candidate of the APC Umana Umana has reached an alarming altitude as the duo do not see eye to eye again.
The battle which is threatening to sink whatever remains of the APC in the state, has seen to the removal of all Umana’s campaign posters and APC flags at the Edet Akpan Avenue Campaign office of Mr Nsima Ekere.
A visit to the campaign office which had hosted Umana’s recent campaigns show that the bilboards, flags and posters of Mr Umana Umana which had adorned the center, have been removed, and the usual influx of APC supporters is no longer feasible.
Most APC faithful who have since dumped Umana Umana are said to be angry that the former governorship candidate is now going to lobby for the very positions he had earlier promised to fix them up with.
Meanwhile, an inside source says the removal of the campaign materials was a routine sanitation exercise and not political.
It would be recalled that the last couple of campaigns that Umana hosted was boycotted by Mr Ekere, and with the current posture, it does not appear that there is any end in sight for their discontent.
