Supreme Council of Ibibio Youths (SCIYO) aka Esop Iwaad Ibibio yesterday honoured one of their own, Mr Lawrence Udoh for his contributions to the group and his appointment as the Special Assistant to Governor Udom on Inter party Affairs.
The group during their get together meeting at Community Secondary School, Four Towns, Uyo poured encomiums on the Governor for the victory at the Supreme Court and for appointing their own Mr Lawrence Udoh as a Special Assistant to the Governor.
Others who where honoured at the event were the Special Assistant on Entertainment, Sergeant David aka Utang Akwa Ibom, Special Assistant on Project Monitoring, Mr GodFada Uko and Special Assistant on Media (Electronic), Amb Sampson Akpan.
They were honoured and inducted as friends of the socio-political Organization.
In his response, Mr Lawrence Udoh praised the Governor for his appointment and asked the members of the Group to support the activities of the Governor. He described the emergence of Governor Udom Emmanuel as Divine saying he is God sent and the man for the season.
He also praised the International President of the group, Atauko Sammy Brown Jp for sustaining the group with his lofty ideas and thanked the International President and the group for the honour done him and his colleagues.
In an earlier address, The International President of the group, Atauko Sammy Brown Jp Thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for the appointment of one of their own as SA on Inter party Affairs, Mr Lawrence Udoh and intimating the group of the plans of Ibibio Organization for 2016.
