The Uyo East District of Assemblies of God Church, has congratulated Governor Emmanuel on the recent judicial confirmation by the supreme court of Nigeria of the April 11, 2015 governorship election.
In a message of felicitation addressed by the District Superintendent, Rev. Patrick Offiong, on behalf of the presbytery and members of the church, the church remarked "The judicial confirmation by the supreme court of Nigeria of the April 11, 2015 " Divine Mandate" graciously given by the people of Akwa Ibom State to their Excellencies, Mr. Udom Emmanuel as Governor and Mr. Moses Ekpo, MFR as Deputy Governor of Akwa Ibom State has undoubtedly become as remarkable and historical landmark victory".
Continuing, the message stated 'As God's people we had expected this knowing from divine proclamation as elucidated in Eccl. 3:14 that "...whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, and nothing taken from it. God does it, that men should fear Him".
" Therefore, on behalf of our District presbytery, the clergy, board of Deacons, and the entire members of the Uyo East District of Assemblies of God Nigeria, I heartily congratulate Their Excellencies on this victorious pronouncement by the apex court. We commit to continually uphold our Governor and his team in prayer trusting that the Almighty God will through him bless Akwa Ibom State with righteousness, peace and prosperity". The statement adds
