PRESS RELEASE : UDOEDEGHE REMAINS AKWA IBOM APC GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE

We wish to inform our teeming supporters and party faithful that the court case involving the leader of our party, the All Progressive Congress in the state, Senator John James Udoedeghe against the usurper of the people’s mandate, Mr Umana Okon Umana is on course.
The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has scheduled Monday, 18th of January, 2016 for hearing of the matter being a pre-election matter, wherein our leader was unjustly denied the ticket to fly the flag of the All Progressive Congress in the last governorship election.

We reiterate the stand of the party that the All Progressive Congress is a movement of the people of Akwa Ibom state. It took the sacrifices, efforts and even the lives of our members to nurture the party to this enviable status. We cannot therefore allow the intruders to snatch the entire structure of the party, dismiss the faithful believers in our dreams and plant their surrogates just to actualise what is clearly the selfish ambition of one man.
The All Progressive Congress in Akwa Ibom State maintains its stands that inasmuch as we open our doors to new members, the party is not a dumping ground for anybody who falls out of favour with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and needs a platform to get a political appointment from the Federal Government.

That explains why we stick with the progenitor of our collective struggle and the man who understands the genuine cries of emancipation. We advise our teeming supporters to disregard the propaganda that our case met a brick wall at the Federal High Court. Our case is on and we are optimistic of getting justice at the end of the day.
Signed:
Mr Samuel Udobong
Publicity Secretary,
All Progressive Congress (APC),
Akwa Ibom State
