Commendations have continued to trail the ongoing Usoro Uso arts and craft exhibition organized by the Akwa Ibom State Ministry of culture and tourism in Uyo.
The latest of such came from His Excellency Edward Kallon, United Nations Country coordinator , who visited the Ibibio Union museum , venue of the exhibition with an entourage of African diplomats ,envoy and government officials. Mr Kallon who was taken on tour of the gallery by the Commissioner , AKS Ministry of culture & tourism, Rt Hon Victor Antai, expressed delight at the quality of art works on display and commended the organizers for the high level of dexterity employed in showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the state and Nigeria.
Also speaking, The president of the Rotary Club Uyo ,district 9140, Rtn Mercy Asuquo who visited the museum with other Rotarians, commended the state government for investing hugely in tourism adding that the club will continue to encourage initiatives aimed at adding value to humanity.
Other notable personalities who were seen at the exhibition included Nollywood Star Ini Edo, BB Naija Stars Kemen, Thin Tall Tony & Uriel, The Publicity Secretary AKS PDP, Comrade Ini Ememobong, The Chairman NUJ , Mr Patrick Albert etc
Usoro Uso arts and craft exhibition which began on June 8 2017 is open daily to art lovers till June 22, 2017. The Usoro USO gallery has on display, amazing works from renowned artists across the country like Prof Bruce Onobrakpeya, Nsikak Essien, Olu Amoda, Uwem Ekanem and a host of others. The Exhibition holds at the Ibibio Union museum, Unity Park, Udoudoma Avenue, Uyo.
