… As three APC election unit agents decamp to PDP

With the reintroduction of Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and ongoing registration of National ID card, Mr Godfada Uko the Special Assistant to the Governor on Project Monitoring today appealed to the people of Etinan to avail themselves of this opportunity to get their Voters card.
He made the appeal after a football training with the youths of Ikot Ebo in Etinan Local Government Area.
” There is ongoing voters registration which is done centrally, there are people in this community which where not around, others who did not reach 18 years of age or those who lost their Voters card,..everybody who does not have voters card or national ID card should please register ”
He further stressed that the voters and national Id card has other uses other than for election purposes.
” The voters card is not for election only, voters card is nationally recognized, you can use it when travelling out or for financial transactions ” he said.
The Special Assistant also called for mass mobilization of the people in the community for the registration.” There is a need for mass mobilization, enter all the streets, nook and cranny of the community, discuss and preach with others on the need for this registration ”
Godfada also promised to make available a bus to convey those who will be going to INEC office for registration next week.
Also speaking Mr Udeme Inyang, the PDP unit head thanked the Special Assistant for always being in touch with his people and pledged commitment of the people to the reelection of Governor Udom Emmanuel in 2019. ” SA Thank you for your love for the people, thank you for using the platform of football to rally political inclusiveness”
He thanked the Governor for the renovation of Etinan general hospital and construction of Etinan Ndon Eyo Road.
Highpoint of the day was the decamping of three(3) All Progressives Congress (APC) Party agents to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)
