NIGERIAN STUDENTS IN PURSUIT OF THE NIGERIAN DREAM WITH AKEES PENCIL.

In the early hours of this morning while researching on the internet and interacting on Facebook, i got this beautiful portrait picture from Mr. Ralpheal Edem’s Facebook wall. As a Special Assistant to Governor Udom on Public Relations, all he could see beyond the image is the image maker and the material use to create the image – AKEES PENCIL.

This gave me a reason to meditate on the interesting research findings that await the visiting Chapter Presidents and their delegates from all Nigeria tertiary institutions across the country for the much anticipated “ALL NIGERIAN EDUCATION STUDENTS CONFERENCE” on 30th June 2017 at the University of Uyo, which will proceed to a tour destination of the 21st Century Ibom E-Library in Uyo local government area and AKEES PENCIL FACTORY in Etinan local government of Akwa Ibom State on 1st July 2017.

The AKEES PENCIL Factory has been describe by development analysts to create a backward integration in the production of essential education material in Nigeria. A factory with a ready market demand across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, and a capacity of producing 4000/5000 pencils daily, 25,000 pencils weekly and 100,000 pencils in a month.

This economic viability of AKEES PENCIL FACTORY has clearly position the federal government on a path of economic recovery with an annual savings of an increasing foreign exchange estimated to 2.7 billion dollars in the importation of manufactured pencils from China and Thailand over the decades.

This feasibility analysis further translate the socio economic importance of the Akwa Ibom State Government speedy establishment of the AKEES PENCIL in the bid to recover the Nigerian economy and develop of the Nigerian education sector for the actualization of the NIGERIAN Dream.
