UYO PDP, STAKEHOLDERS PAY SOLIDARITY VISIT TO ENOBONG UWAH

The Uyo Chapter Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Comrade Idorenyin Orok has led members of the PDP Chapter and Ward Executives, to pay a solidarity visit to the immediate past Commissioner for Housing and Urban Renewal, Prince Enobong Uwah.
Also in the team were stakeholders, party leaders and elders, youths, Aides of the Governor from Uyo, members of the Transition Caretaker Commitee, past political office holders and women leaders.

Speaking at the occasion which took place on Monday, October 17, 2016 barely 3 days after the dissolution of the State cabinet by His Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, Comrade Orok said the party came to first of all convey their appreciation to Governor Emmanuel for his magnanimity in appointing their worthy son, Prince Uwah to serve in his cabinet, and to not only congratulate Prince Uwah for posting a stellar performance but for being uncompromising in his loyalty to the leader of the party in the state and his boss the governor.

The Chapter chair stressed that as a loyal partyman who has actively supported the party, they came to assure him of their full confidence and support for greater assignments in future.

Also speaking, the State Deputy Chairman of PDP, Elder Imoh Okon who was in the delegation, commended Prince  Enobong Uwah for delivering and being one of the stand-out commissioners who performed brilliantly in this dispensation. He said Uyo people are proud of his services and thanked the governor for the opportunity given to him to serve in that capacity.
A former council Chairman of Uyo, Dr Chris Nyong, on his part, described Prince Uwah as the best product Uyo has seen as a politician and leader in a long while. He said Prince Uwah has fought doggedly to keep Uyo united, take her from opposition into the mainstream and worked tirelessly to develop and empower the people.

Dr Nyong sued for support from Uyo people for Prince Uwah who he said stood unwaveringly to promote the candidature of Governor emmanuel from the very beginning and advised Uyo right.
The special Assistant to the Governor on entertainment, Mr David Sergeant a.k.a Utang Akwa Ibom described Prince Uwah as a role model and the visioner who led Uyo people to embrace the Divine Project of Udom Emmanuel for Governor of Akwa Ibom State. Mr Sergeant said they will continue to stand by Prince Uwah who has rendered wholehearted and selfless service to the state, Uyo people and his boss.

Responding, Prince Uwah who holds the traditional title of Iberedem Uyo, thanked the people for their solidarity, and demanded only one favour from them, which is to continue and never compromise on their support for the Udom led administration until 2023 when he will complete his tenure.
He also charged them into a prayer session for the governor and the success of his administration after they prayed for him.

Others who spoke at the event were Mr-Sam Efiok, and former Leader of Uyo Legislature, Hon. Anietie Eka, former Councillor, Hon. Nse Ndoh among others. A youth leader Mr Imoh Udoima in his reaction who gave account of the event posted on this on his facebook,
"We Thank God who took sent him to represent Uyo people at the State Exco..We prayed also for the Governor who gave him the opportunity to work with him and served the State in that Capacity.

We showed him love because he himself is a genuine lover of Uyo People. We Celebrate you Sir and we pray that you resume at a n higher office so as to continue with your good works,Amen and Amen."
