By Cavil Inwang | The Governor of Akwa Ibom State Mr. Udom Emmanuel has ordered the management of General Hospital, Ikot Okoro, in Oruk Anam local government area to embark on a mass burial for 20 unclaimed corpses deemed to have been abandoned in the heath facility.
Mr. Udom Emmanuel gave the order during a visit to the Hospital Wednesday, 24th August 2016.
He said that the health facility, established in 1954, had suffered neglect over the years and expressed shock at the poor state of facilities in the hospital, promising to commence immediate rehabilitation of facilities at the hospital.
