Connecting Our People to Opportunities: The Ime Uwah's Approach #DakkadaBusinessForum

By Eric Ekwere
One wonders where on earth he gets the time for all of these? Always showing great commitment at what he sets out to do; in public and community service, his private and business engagements, he is never found wanting.

Indeed, he has proven that a successful man is one who is a great manager of time and resource.

On Friday, he led a team of management and staff of the Directorate of Marketing and Brand Management to interior villages of Ibaha Ikot Eduep and Inen Ikot Essien, both of Oruk Anam LGA and Ikot Akpan Eyo and Ikot Udo Obobo both in Ukanafun LGA to interact with self-sustaining farmers.

If you have been enjoying your mother's affang soup and have been wondering where it comes from, Ime Uwah took us to the source. Other farms visited where that of piggery, cassava, plantain, poultry, fishery, oil palm.

I will not want to really drag us for so long since I am not really a good story teller, but at one stop, emotions were let loose as the lady farmer could not hide her tears of joy on sighting the delegation.

Probably, she thought they were not going to make it there again, or maybe was expecting to see a smaller delegation (imagine the Governor on one of the trips).

First, it was identifying the Dakkada Ambassadors across the 10 federal constituencies of the state, now, it is the Dakkada Ambassadors Recruitment and Entrepreneurship Campaign with an induction into the Dakkada Business Forum, with theme: CONNECTING OUR PEOPLE TO OPPOURTUNITIES and the team is going to touch all the 31 LGAs of the State.

Indeed, the government is really getting to the grassroots and touching lives.
The pictures will tell the rest of the stories.
