Now that the enshrinement of God’s Supremacy in the overwhelming votes Akwa Ibomites gave to Udom Gabriel Emmanuel in April last year, has been confirmed by the Supreme Court, I think it is time for all of us to bury our hatchets and collectively join hands to work with UGE in realizing his goals for our great state.
Hear him earlier today…"...The battle has been won and lost and in any political contest, there must be a winner and a loser. I hereby call on our brothers and sisters from the other side of the political divide to close ranks and join me, in moving Akwa Ibom State to surpass superior performance and ensure development that is sustainable, impactful and expansive. We don’t have any other state to call ours except the great Akwa Abasi Ibom State..." - Gov Udom Emmanuel. And end of quote.
In that spirit please let us shun all forms of political sentiments and come face to face with the realities of delivering democratic dividends to our people.
To my friends/brothers in the APC who became too friendly with me, I understand how you feel. And it would be wickedness from the pit of hell if after roundly thrashing you; I will still deny you your rights to a fair cry and free flow of tears. I will allow you a week to get done with your weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. I appreciate how down you already are, and will not add to your sorrows by either rubbing salt/pepper in your wounds, or kicking you. After all, aside politics, we are still one.
And as it has always been, you have a shoulder to lean on and cry all you want. After all what are elders brothers for, if not to guide and support the younger ones. The doors are still open. But you must show some reasonable amount of remorse before the maiguard will allow you in. You understand my drift.
I would have gotten across to you privately through phone calls, but you guys are a bunch. I am not trying to mock youoooo. Why should I? Everyone except you knew all along that UGE was divinely mandated to govern the state. But, I want posterity to judge the next time (in the not-too-distant future) you once more decide not only to be recalcitrant, but to constitute a nuisance.
In the interim, always try to hum this piece: ‘Udom is the winner-man, Udom is the winner-man, Udom is the winner-man, the winner-man all the time’.
Laugh wan kill me
Laugh wan kill me
