IBOROAKAM - Rerun: INEC fixes date for Aniekan Uko, Ex-AKHA Speaker, Deputy, others



The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed March 12, 2016 for re-reun elections in constituencies where elections were earlier annulled by the Court of Appeal. 

The affected former lawmakers who will go to poll on that day include include: the former Speaker, Aniekan Uko, the former Deputy Speaker, Effiong Okon Bassey, the member representing Ikot Ekpene/Obot Akara State Constituency, Idongesit Ntekpere and the erstwhile member representing Etinan state constituency, Aniefiok Dennis.

Mr. Monday Eyo, the member representing Uyo State Constituency, would be going back to the polls as the court ordered fresh elections in 29 polling units.

Similarly, Obong Bassey Albert, Senator Representing Uyo Senatorial District in the Senate will also be back at the polls on the same date as the Court of Appeal ordered a re-run in 38 polling units of the Senatorial District.
