The Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Inter-Party Affairs, Mr. Lawrence Udoh, has charged youths of Ibibio extraction to continue supporting the present administration because the government has their interest at heart.
Addressing the youths after the election of the Supreme Council of Ibibio Youths, in Uyo, Comrade Udoh, who described the governor as youth friendly, lauded the governor for the confidence reposed in him by appointing him and several youths into his cabinet.
He stated that, so far, the governor has empowered and sponsored thousands of Akwa Ibom youths in different fields of endeavours so as to make them productive individuals.
Comrade Udoh, who also doubles as the state chairman of the Mega Progressives Peoples Party (MPPP), reiterated that the governor remains very committed in delivering on his electoral promises to Akwa Ibomites, adding that the present administration has performed beyond expectations within a very short period of time.
While charging the youths to desist from being used as enemies of a performing government, he reasoned that if the government is supported, more feats would be achieved.
While imploring them not to be allowed to be brainwashed by propagandists, Udoh said the only parameters they should use in rating Udom Emmanuel, is his performance, which he (Udoh) believes is excellent.
He promised to use his office to deepen democracy in the state by ensuring that there is synergy between all the political parties in the state.
On the Supreme Council of Ibibio Youths (SCIYO), Comrade Udoh commended them for successfully electing her national executive council members, and vowed to contribute his quota to the group's success.
