Professional women groups in Kano have defied the early morning downpour in Kano Metropolis on Tuesday to stage a protest rally against rampant cases of rape in Kano and environs.
The protest which was jointly organized by alumni of the St, Louis secondary school, Kano and some other professional women groups in the city was aimed at drawing attention to the menace of rape.
The women carrying placards that read “real men don’t rape” enough is enough”, “we say no to rape” are expected to march through some selected streets, and end up at Kano House of Assembly.
