Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is now attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur who may want to do business with Manchester City with right-back Kyle Walker going the other way, reports in England claim.
City manager Pep Guardiola needs a new right-back after Pablo Zabaleta joined West Ham United last season and Bacary Sagna released. The Spaniard was initially linked with Dani Alves but the Brazil star is now bound for Paris St.Germain.
A report on the Manchester Evening News on Tuesday hint that Spurs are open to the possibility of Iheanacho arriving at White Hart Lane with want-away right-back Walker heading in the opposite direction.
Leicester City have reportedly agreed in principle to buy Iheanacho for £25million on a five-year contract with City’s insistence of a buy-back clause the major issue in the deal working out.
Iheanacho who is also linked with West Ham United and Everton in England, and Borrusia Dortmund in Germany, reported back for pre-season training at City on Monday and could still to travel with City on their pre season tour to Asia where they will be involved in the International Champions Cup beginning next week.
