NFF Director of media and communications, Ademola Olajire, yesterday said that the Franco German coach is still in Europe where he has been meeting with the Europe based players and their managers on the much important game.
Olajire, who was reacting to online reports that the Eagles technical adviser has threatened to resign his appointment over NFF interference, urged Nigerians not to distract the coach and players with negative reports, stressing that the team is intact and will not need any form of distraction ahead of the double header clash with the African champions.
“The team is focussed on the game against Cameroon. The Coach is still in Europe and has continued to meet with players and their managers ahead of the matches. So I think they do not need to be distracted at this particular time with negative reports”, Olajire noted. The NFF image maker also disclosed that the NFF and FIFA has reached an agreement on the date for the Super Eagles match against Cameroon in Uyo, noting that the federation was able to convince FIFA on its stand on the September 1 date
