Super Falcons forward Francisca Ordega will undergo an arthroscopic surgery on Saturday due to a chondral defect on her right knee

The 24 year old Washington Spirit forward will be out of action for 45 days according to the club’s official website.
Ordega who is Washington’s leading scorer this season with four goals coupled with three assists will miss her side’s games against Houston Dash, Portland Thorns FC, Sky Blue FC, Orlando Pride and Boston Breakers, North Carolina Courage FC and Chicago Red Stars.
Washington Spirit head coach and general manager of the club, Jim Gabarra in an interview with the club’s official website rued the Ordega’s injury.
“Franny has had a great first half of the season,” Gabarra said.
“She has made great strides and improvements in her game. We all feel as bad as she feels but know she will be back.”
