Nigerian defender Kenneth Omeruo is in line for a tour of France with the Chelsea reserves as he awaits his next destination.
A source at the London club said the Premier League club want to offload Omeruo on a permanent basis after several seasons on loan to various clubs, from Dutch club ADO Den Haag to Turkish clubs Kasimpasa and Alanyaspor most recently.
Omeruo was not on the tour of Asia by the Chelsea main squad.
“Chelsea are willing to sell him on a permanent basis now. It’s only if this is not possible that they will consider another loan deal,” a source at Stamford Bridge informed.
Central defender Omeruo has been a Chelsea player since July 2012, but he is yet to play an official game for the Premier League champions.
He will now pass some time with the reserves in France until an acceptable offer for Chelsea is received.
