Nigerian right-back George Ikenne-King has been ruled out for two months after suffering a leg injury last week while in action for his Hungarian side, Budapest Honved, Completesportsnigeria.com reports
Ikenna-King who was pivotal to Budapest Honved’s title success for the first time in 24 years last season is expected to resume training in October.
It would mean Ikenne-King will be unavailable for a minimum of nine matches, Completesportsnigeria.com also gathered.
The former Flying Sports Academy player expressed his disappointment in an exclusive chat Completesportsnigeria.com, but hopes to be better than his past when he returns.
“I will be out for two months, the doctors have confirmed. So disappointed, but that is life,” he said.
“I hope to be back and better than I was.”
King made 32 appearances last season and scored thirce for Budapest Honved.
