Brazil right- back Dani Alves was in action as Paris Saint Germain lost 3-2 to his former club Juventus in an International Champions Cup game at the Hard Rock Stadium, Miami, Florida early Thursday morning (Nigerian time).
Claudio Marchisio scored a double for Juventus while Gonzalo Higuain got the other. PSG’s goal came from the duo of Goncalo Gueves and Javier Pastore.
From the kick off, Juve were the hungrier club at they attacked their opponents with Paulo Dybala trying his luck from inside the PSG area but his effort went wide.
PSG themselves threatened in the 26th minute through Angel Di Maria with a powerful shot from 20 yards which Gianluigi Buffon did well to save.
The script seemed to be shooting from distance and Dybala again let fly an ambitious shot but PSG keeper Alphonse Areola tipped the ball over the ball.
The duo of Dybala and Higuain combined to produce the first goal of the match, the latter dinking the ball beyond the PSG keeper in the 45th minute just before the first whistle went.
Edison Cavani had a goal disallowed in the first half but teammate Gueves then scored in the 53rd minute. Marchisio soon made it 2-1 with a shot from outside of the PSG box.
Pastore scored with a header in the 80th minute despite the close watch on two defenders.
Marchisio however converted an 89th minute penalty which guaranteed victory for the Bianconeri.
