Chelsea’s Pedro Sent Back To London After Concussion Vs Arsenal

Spanish forward, Pedro Rodriguez, will play no further part in Chelsea’s remaining pre-season games in Asia as he will fly back to London after suffering concussion in the Blues’ 3-0 friendly win against Arsenal in China on Saturday.

Pedro had to be substituted for Jeremie Boga in the 29th minute after colliding with Arsenal keeper David Ospina.

Chelsea went on to win the game thanks to goals from Willian and Michy Batshuayi (brace).

“Pedro stayed in hospital overnight in Beijing for observation having sustained a concussion and facial injuries in last night’s game against Arsenal,” Chelsea stated on their official website on Sunday.

“He will now return to London for further review.”

The former Barcelona player will now miss Chelsea’s International Champions Cup games in Singapore against Bayern Munich and Inter Milan on Tuesday and Saturday respectively.
