Chelsea have confirmed that they are on the verge of signing Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid.
Sky Italia reported earlier on Wednesday that the Premier League champions and the European champions had reached an €80m agreement for the Spain striker.
“Chelsea Football Club and Real Madrid have agreed terms for the transfer of Alvaro Morata to Stamford Bridge,” Chelsea announced on their official website on Wednesday.
“The move is now subject to him agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.
“Morata, 24, is a Spanish international forward, and helped Real to lift a second successive Champions League last season.”
