Trailer drivers have unleashed mayhem in Apapa area of Lagos state after a policeman attached to one of the banks in the area reportedly shot dead three policeman forcing other drivers to protest.
As a result, the protesters have reportedly set the Diamond bank on Burma Road on fire which also affected Sterling bank located in the area.
It was gathered that fire incident started after Diamond bank management reportedly refuese to release the trigger-happy policeman to the mob.
Gabriel O Lawrence while reporting the incident wrote: “Fire at Diamond and Sterling bank in Apapa; tanker drivers protesting/rioting as a result of their dead colleague who was reportedly shot dead by mobile police men/man attached to one of the banks. When would/will our police or men in uniforms put a hold to such act?”
