Nigerian-born England youth international Tammy Abraham is excited by the prospect of playing on a season-long loan at Swansea under the guidance of manager Paul Clement and former Chelsea legend Claude Makalele who is the Swans’ assistant manager.
The 19-year-old who is on the books of Premier League champions Chelsea told the official website of Swansea: “I’m astonished. I can’t wait to work with them.
“I don’t know them because I was really young when they were at Chelsea, but I can learn a lot from them.
Abraham also spoke of the ambience he has witnessed at the club to far.
“I’ve only had one session with them but they seem lovely people. The training is lively and everyone has a smile on their face when they are training.
“It’s the right environment to be around,” Abraham reiterated.
Abraham, who scored 26 goals in 48 games while on loan at Bristol City last season, joined his new teammates on Sunday at the club’s pre season America training base in Raleigh, North Carolina.
