The ongoing Peoples Democratic Party Ward tour round the Wards of Nsit Atai Local Government Area gained momentum on April 3, as more stakeholders and party Chieftains of the Local Government led by the Political leader of the area Otuekong Raphael Bassey visited Ward 8,7 and 2.
The tour which also served as a thank you visit is also aimed at engaging the people at the grassroots of Government’s achievements, policies and the body language of the party.
The tour will as well encourage those who are of voting age to avail themselves the opportunity to go out en-mass and register for the ongoing voters registration.
During a speech at Ward 7, the member representing Nsit Atai, Hon. Mark Esset thanked the people of the ward for their support during the last 2015 general election and also preached a message of peace and unity, he also assured them that the Governor is committed in letting the people at the grassroots know the plans of the government as more infrastructural development will be witnessed in the area.
He also used the opportunity to thank the Governor Udom Emmanuel for the quick response in rehabilitation of Government Primary School, Ikot Ubok Udom, Ward 7.
Responding at Ward 8, the Political leader of the area Hon. Otuekong Raphael Bassey who is the SUBEB Commissioner (II) appreciated the Governor for providing a Portable Solar water supply for Ibedu Community.
At Ward 2, the PDP Women Leader Mrs. Uduak Maxwell, poured encomium on the Wife of the Governor for Using FEYReP to change the life of the Women of Ward 2, she also reaffirmed the support of the women in the area to the Governor.
In attendance were the Political leader of Nsit Atai/SUBEB Commissioner (II), Hon Otuekong Raphael Bassey; member Representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Hon Mark Esset; PDP Zonal Officer and State Officers, Hon. Monday Akpan and Bar. Johnson Uduak Johnson.
Others include the Transition Chairman, Hon. Uduak Ekpeowo, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Grassroot Mobilization, Mr. Joseph Okon; PDP Chapter Chairman, Mr. Chrysantus Okon; the PDP Ward Woman leader Mrs. Rose Essien, past Transition Chairmen, Ward Excos, Village Chiefs, Elders, Women, Youth Caucus and Youth Council Exco Members and Party Faithfuls.
The tour to the remaining 4 wards will be rounded off on Friday, 5th May 2017.
