The wife of the Honourable Member representing Nsit Atai State Constituency in the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Mrs. Dorcas Mark Esset has called on the entire women of Nsit Atai State Constituency to be prudent and industrious in putting to use, judiciously all the empowerment largesse given to them and as well, be steadfast in their support for Governor Udom Emmanuel beyond 2019.
Mrs. Dorcas Esset handed down the advise during the just concluded tour of the 10 political wards by the Political stakeholders of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Nsit Atai Local Government Area.
The sensitization tour, which was aimed at enlightening the people at the grassroots, of the achievements of Governor Udom Emmanuel and that of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), also enlightened those who are of voting age to avail themselves the opportunity to go out in their droves and register for the ongoing voters registration.
In her remarks, Mrs. Dorcas Mark Esset thanked Her Excellency, Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel on behalf of the entire women of the area for her love for the women of Nsit Atai LGA and specially appreciated her kind gesture of building a new house to a widow of the area.
Highpoint of the event was when the Wife of the House of Assembly member, Mrs Dorcas Mark Esset used the opportunity to empower 10 Women of the ward in cash gift to boost their businesses.
The wife of the Lawmaker also assured the women of the proposed empowerment scheme by Her Excellency, Mrs Martha Udom Emmanuel to the women of the area that were not privileged to benefit in the previous scheme.
The visibly elated women of Nsit Atai sang and danced in solidarity to Her Excellency and they collectively made avowed their loyalty and support for Governor Udom Emmanuel beyond 2019. The spoke in glowing terms about the enormous goodwill bestowed on them by the wife of the governor and they pleaded her to continue to impact positively in their lives.
In attendance were the Uyo Senatorial District PDP Chairman, Dr. Imo Okon; the Political leader of Nsit Atai/SUBEB Commissioner (II), Hon. Otuekong Raphael Bassey; member Representing Nsit Atai State Constituency, Hon Mark Esset; PDP Zonal Officer and State Officers, Hon. Monday Akpan and Barr. Uduak Johnson.
Others include former Commissioner for Economic Development, Hon. Lawrence Udosen, the Transition Chairman, Hon. Uduak Ekpeowo, a former Chairman, Hon Smart Ben; PDP Chapter Chairman, Mr. Chrystaintus Okon; past Transition Chairmen, Ward Excos, Village Chiefs, Elders, Women, Youth Caucus and Youth Council Exco Members and Party Faithfuls.
