Governor Udom Emmanuel has financially empowered over 200 widows, widowers, less privileged and disabled people to aid them in their various entrepreneurial endeavours.
The Governor who performed the empowerment ceremony at the Government house banquet hall Uyo charged the recipients to effectively utilize the funds for their personal growth and development.
Udom urged those who have already established little businesses for themselves to inject the money into their businesses for expansion.
Government House correspondent Jane Uwa reports that the people, about 6 of them, drawn from each of the 31 local government Areas in the state, were given 200,000 Naira each by the Governor.
