... As Paul Ekpo preaches Unity to Political Party Chairmen

The Inter Party Advisory Counsel IPAC, Akwa Ibom State led by Engr Martins Inyang its Chairman and all members of other political party Chairmen honored Obong Paul Ekpo with an Award of Excellence.
Pouring encomiums on the PDP State Chairman, Engr Martins described him as a bridge of unity and a politician who has changed the political landscape of Akwa Ibom State.
He said "Today is not of speaking, but it’s a day of honoring one man who has brought different into the politics of Akwa Ibom State'',
He thanked Obong Paul Ekpo for not discriminating against other Parties Chairmen but taking them as his colleagues. Martin assured the PDP Party Chairman of the cooperation of IPAC and other Political Parties in the state to ensure peace and development.
“Let me use my office to thank you for not looking at us but also seeing us as one of your own. You were an IPAC chairman who I precede you today and you had taught us that if we unite, we will take Akwa Ibom State to another level. Out of the forty political party in the state, you have over 90 percent of them ready to work with you”. Martins ended.
Reacting Obong Paul Ekpo thanked IPAC for the award and urged them to remain partners of process, assuring them of government acknowledgement of their support.
“For the award, I thank you very sincerely, it came on a day of love, we acknowledge, appreciate and accept it. I want you people to remain steadfast , working as partners with us, we will also do all we can to make sure this government do that which is preferable to our people and as a person I will do all I can for this government to continue acknowledging you”.
While delivering a keynote address, the Special Assistant to the Governor Udom Emmanuel on Inter Party Affairs , Mr Lawrence Udoh described Obong Paul Ekpo as the man who started IPAC and CNPP in Akwa Ibom State.
He said “Here we have a man who started IPAC in his house. We have a man who started Conference of Nigerian Political Parties in his house, we have a man for the first time in the history of this state, who opened the government house gate for all the political parties to have access to. The man who has been so helpful to us, who took us as brothers and friends, that is why we decided to show him love today”
“It has never happened like this, this is the first time we see all the chairmen of political parties in Akwa Ibom State gather like this to honour one man. What he has done to the political parties in the state as contributed immensely to the peace we are having today and that has also help His Excellency , Deacon Udom Emmanuel to do extremely well in terms of development.”
In attendance was Engr. William Ikpe ; Chairman of CNPP, Mr Lawernce Udoh ; SA on inter Party Matters to the Governor, Chairmen of all Political Parties in the State, State Working Exco of Peoples Democratic Party and other Politicians.
