...Forum makes four point demand
... Gets six months ultimatum to perform
All is not well with member representing Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Ukoette as his constituents are spoiling for a showdown with the lawmaker.
Acting under the aegis of Ukanafun/Oruk Anam Forum, his constituents have made a four point demand from Hon. Emmanuel Ukoette, threatening to initiate every legal means to reclaim their mandate from him.
In a communique published in The Nation Newspaper of Thursday, February 2, 2017. Page 37, the Forum stated that, they are deeply troubled. That, Hon. Ukoette, who has been described as a 'Sleeping Senator' has not briefed his constituents since June 2015, when he returned to the House, nor attracted any Federal projects to the constituency.
The Forum warned that, if Hon. Ukoette does not immediately begin to speak and make advocacy on the floor of the House, the consequences will be dire.
Lamenting how the lawmaker has deceived them to secure a second term, the Forum warned that, the accord Ukoette entered with them is still binding, and that, they will not hesitate to engage 'any and all legal means to reclaim our mandate', if after a six months ultimatum, he fails to meet the four conditions.
Every effort to hear the response and reaction of the lawmaker has failed as at press time.
