Ahead of Conference of Nigerian political parties in Akwa Ibom election, the Special Assistant to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Inter-Party Affairs, Mr Lawrence Udoh has thanked all the political parties for their support to the Governor and Government of the Akwa Ibom State.
"The main reason we are here, is for me to Thank you for your support to this government, ably led by His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel''
He also charged them to continue to support the Governor of AKS as he means well for every Akwa Ibom person irrespective of party affiliation.
"I am here also to tell to continue to be hopeful and support the government of the day''
Lawrence made they remark during an extraordinary meeting of the Chairmen of all political parties operating in the state.
He used the opportunity to educate the party Chairmen on the development agenda of the state citing the Agricultural evolution powered by AKEES, the pencil and toothpick industry and other lofty programmes of the state government.
Mr Lawrence informed the party chairmen of the proposed CNPP election.
In the same line, Elder Comrade Andy Oduobuk, Chairman of Independent Democrat moved a motion for the present executive to return for a second term with amendment to expunge those who are already in IPAC executive.
The motion was seconded by Mr John Bassey duke, State Chairman of Advanced Congress of Democrats.
More so, The Special Adviser to Governor Udom Emmanuel on Political, Legislative Affairs and Water Resources, Hon. Ekong Samson while giving a keynote address thanked the political parties for supporting the Government of Mr Udom Emmanuel.
The Special Adviser who was represented by a director in a Bureau , Dr. Unwana Joshua assured the Party Chairmen of the support of the Bureau towards political parties, CNPP and IPAC in the state. He further urged them to unite and work together so as to be successful.
