The new executive officers of Uda Community Youths Development Organisation, UCYDO, Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State has been inaugurated with Comrade Victor Inwang as President-General, to steer the ship of the body for the next four years.
UCYDO is an umbrella body of Uda youths living in the country and in the diaspora.
Uda community comprises of Uda- City, Ibaka, Affi, Unyenge, Uko-Nteghe, Orukim, Amkprang and Udinghi.
Presenting the new officers for inauguration at Uko-Nteghe Village Town Hall, on Monday, December 12, 2016, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Ulap Joseph Inyang said the new executive committee members of UCYDO were elected by the congress of the body at Uda Village Town Hall on December 8, 2016.
Ulap Inyang thanked the forum of Uda village youth presidents, stakeholders and the entire youths of Uda for their support before, during and after the election, describing the election as one of the most free, fair and credible election he ever conducted.
The oath of office was administered on the new exco by Barr Tokunbo Otoyo.
Those inaugurated are Comrade Victor Inwang, (President-General), Joe Antai, (Vice-President), and Bassey Ediette, (Secretary), as well as Emmanuel Esu, (Financial Secretary).
Others are Esther Eminue, (Treasurer), Victor Duncan,(Assistant Secretary), Nelson Numa, (PRO), Victor John, (Provost), Israel Joe, (Director of Socials), Christopher Mathew, (Internal Auditor), David Onwineng, (Welfare Officer), Esther Ukap, (Director of Women Affairs).
Edaha Moses, Kingsley Uyot and Gabriel Edem were inaugurated as ex-offcio one, two and three respectively.
In his acceptance speech, the President-General, Comrade Victor Inwang promised to do everything possible with the cooperation of everybody to bring positive development to Uda Community.
Comrade Inwang thanked Uda for the confidence reposed in him and other members of his exco and promised not to disappoint them.
The President who announced the dissolution of all ad hoc and standing committees of the body, appointed Kanny Nkwobia as his Special Adviser on General Duties, while Comrade Anietie Esu was appointed Special Adviser on Media and Publicity.
Present at the inauguration was the Secretary, Mbo Local Government Transition Committee,
Hon.Cletus Iyanam alias A to Z, stakeholders of Uda and Forum of Uda Village Youth Presidents.
