Nassarawa State Governor Umaru Tanko Almakura is among the teeming sympathizers that has personally visited Governor Udom at the Hilltop Mansion of Akwa Ibom State Government House to commiserate with the Government and people of the state over the tragic incident of building collapse at Reigners Bible Church Int'l, Uyo.
Receiving the sympathizers, Governor Emmanuel expressed appreciation to the his Nassarawa State counterpart whom he described as his friend and brother for coming all the way to share in the grief with the people of the state and prayed God to reward him for his show of love and concern.
Mr Emmanuel recalled with deep emotions the incidence and how he had to mobilize rescue operations and medical experts to attend to the victims saying that his survival and that of others was a miracle and prayed God to grant the deceased eternal repose and speedy healing to the wounded.
Governor Almakura who led a delegation of personalities comprising Senator Solomon Adokwe, Peter Mbucho, Ambassador designate Musa Ilu Mohammed , Former Attorney General Barister Abdullahi Mohammed , Mary Engwogulu, Mohammed Sarki and Rev. Isaac, in the visit, presented a condolence letter to Governor Emmanuel.
He said that the news of the accident was a deep shock not only to him but the people of his State and used the occasion to thank God for the miraculous survival of his friend Governor Emmanuel praying God to comfort the bereaved families as well as grant speedy recovery to the injured.
The Nassarawa state Governor however urged the people to continue to trust their faith in God who knows all things saying that the affliction shall not occur the second time.
Governor Almakura recalled his student days at the College of Education Uyo in the 70's and attributed his success in life to the training he got during his formative age in the state and particularly lauded infrastructural transformation the state has recorded courtesy of past and present administrations.
