NFSAN commends FG over sack of twelve lecturers on Sexual Harrassment

Female students under the aegis of National Female Students Association of Nigeria ( NFSAN)  has commended the federal government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari for sacking five senior lectures and other staffs of Auchi Polytechnic in Edo state for indulging in sexual harassment of students who are also in the habit of extorting money from them.

The President of the body, Comrade Idongesit  Micah while briefing newsmen said that, "I want to use this medium to thank the federal government for looking into the plight of the female students in the country especially when its come to the incessant cases of sexual harrassment of Students by lectures"

Comrade Micah also acknowledge "The Punch"  newspaper for their balance and authentic reportage in exposing those lecturers who were involved in such show of shame adding that their report went a long way in helping the National Board for Technical Education carried out their investigation on the matter.

She also used this medium to  solicit for immediate assent to be granted by the federal government  on the sexual harassment Bill which was passed into law by the Senate few months ago.

Speaking further, the President of group noted that by assenting to the bill to become law that the law would then take its full course on any lectures that sexually harass students.
