HOUSING COMMISSIONER INSPECTS PROJECTS SITE IN URUAN

***Promises speedy completion of project

Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Housing and Special Duties, Mr Akan Okon has promised a speedy completion of the Government Estate in Ibiaku Eshiet, Uruan Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

Mr Okon stated this recently, after inspecting the site of the project, in company of the site Engineer Mr Khuliq Jamil

He applauded efforts by the State Government under Governor Udom Emmanuel in providing affordable houses for Akwa Ibom people and noted that the project when completed, will go a long way to solving accommodation problems among citizens of the area.

On minor cases with the host community, he said, "there is no problem as all the little issues we had with communities involved was settled" and said the project when speedy completed, will be the best in Africa.

On his part, The Project Manager and Head of Ashdene Group, Mr Khuliq Jamil assured that the Estate design will be ready within a period of three weeks and appealed for the cooperation of both the host communities and government to ensure the company meets the dateline of completion.

The Commissioner described Governor Emmanuel as a promise Keeper who has the interest of his people at heart, maintaining that the Governor has fulfilled several promises he made to the church during his one year Anniversary .

"When Governor Udom Emmanuel came here for his one year Anniversary Celebration, he promised to renovate this Church.

"Today, the church has been completed and would soon be Commissioned handed over to the children of God. This goes to show that our Governor is a promise Keeper and is committed in his service to Akwa Ibom State", he added.
