Gov Emmanuel's Aide Doles Out Christmas Gifts To Awa Ward 2

The Senior Special Assistant , (Media) and Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ekerete Udoh, showed love to the people of Awa Ward 2 in Onna Local Government, his hometown in the spirit of Christmas, when he distributed various sums of money for women, youths, elders, the party, and the four village heads that make up the ward, yesterday, in his village, Afaha Ikot Nkang, Awa Afaha Ward, of Onna Local government Area of the state.

The event, which enjoyed a massive turnout, was full of praises to God for preserving his live and that of their son Governor Udom Emmanuel. 

In his opening remark, Mr. Ekerete Udoh said the token was given in deep appreciation for the support of Onna people to the present administration  and promised an elaborate empowerment program early in the new year. "In spite of the pains am going through, I had to come out of my sick bed to rejoice with my people."

Mr Udoh encouraged the youth to exercise patient and continue to support the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration as the economy will soon improve and his empowerment will cover all areas including women, youth and aged.  

Also speaking, the Chairman of Awa Ward 2, Mr Wisdom Michael, appreciated the CPS for the show of love, advising the ward to keep the faith from now till April as plans was concluded for an empowerment which was supposed to take place third week of December but was postponed due to the Reigners Bible Church building collapse tragedy. 

He also pledged total support for the Governor, adding that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the ward level, will continually support his return come 2019 election. 

The items presented include bags of rice and Garri, live goats, cartons of drinks, tubers of yam, and  various  sums of money. The constituemts were very moved by the CPS's kind gesture, not minding the fact that he was still recuperating from the injuries he sustained at the Reigners' Bible church collapse,

In attendance were Village Head of the four Villages that make up Awa Ward 2; the Ward  Chairman, Mr. Wisdom Albert Michael; Ward Secretary,  Mr. Kufre Titus; National President of Afaha, Chief  Bassey Essien Nkanga JP and National Secretary of Afaha, Mr. Iboro Macaulay. 

Others include former Ward chairman, Tony Akpabot; former Chancellor, Hon Akpan Sunday Titus; First female Elected Politician in Onna/Former Chancellor, Hon. Mary Akpan Asa; Youth, Women and party faithfuls.
