Another 18th of November is here, we shall be celebrating a man whose destiny is in God’s hands. Obong Paul Ekpo was born in a little suburbs of Nkana Village in Iman Ibom clan of Etinan Local Government Area.
After a successful completion of his major academics in 1993, he started his career with Federal Character Commission, Abuja, as an Administrative Officer from 1999 to 2000. By 2002 he had moved to Nigeria Export-Import Bank, where he served as Head, Administration and Properties.
Obong Paul of Politics is a founding member of Peoples Democratic Party. The Party as popularly called is a seasoned politician whose actions are based on Christian morals in cognizance with the wishes of the people.
No wonder, he is always a chronic loyalist to the Governor, Party and the state. He is servant leader, always putting the interest of his followers first. He is also very strong in leadership and team building.
Being the first Party Chairman in Akwa Ibom to transits two governments shows that ‘Paul of Politics’ has sterling qualities – efficient and effective management of the party, steadfastness and diligence which has given him a rise in his political journey.
On a day like this, we shall praise God over the life of Obong Paul Ekpo and celebrate the illuminating; trailblazer leader believing in the words of Oprah Winfred the more you praise and celebrate life, the more there is life to celebrate.
