Kings and queens celebrate her silver jubilee.

Kings and queens Montessori nursery/primary school located at plot s11/12 itiam /Ewet housing Estate,Uyo celebrate her 25th years anniversary of the school.

Giving a welcome address at the event which took place at Emerald Event Center,Edet Akpan Avenue Uyo, the proprietress l, Rt Hon Dr Ekaette Ebong returned all glory to God and indeed welcome guests and dignitaries to the event describing it as historic and epoch making occasion.

Reflecting on the memories of the scho tol, Dr Ebong stated that the school started with two like minds in the wake days when the state was created out of the school then Cross River State while stressing that the available private schools then were not enough to cater for the need of the children with this, the vision to set up a standard school with the best teaching methodology which was to assist the Government to offer quantitative education to the came to bear which she noted to be kings and queens.

She maintained that within 25years of existence, the school has trained more than 23,000 pupils and as graduated more than 5,000 pupils which among them she noted to include: Lecturer, Medical doctor, Engineers, Lawyers, Accountant,Journalist,Nurses, Pharmacist. ICT experts etc

She noted that beyond academics, the schools within the years has been involved in other event to developed the pupils as well as instituted a scholarship program for talented and less privileged children.

However, Dr Ebong on behalf of private schools in the State thanks the State Government through the ministry of Education for doing the best for the Educational institutions thus appealing that that largesse be extended to the private schools as to do better taking into consideration that the private schools also contribute to the upliftment of the State and Nation.
The Chairman of the Occasion, Dr Ifreke Ekpa while giving his opening remark appreciated God for sustaining the school throughout the past 25 years as well as thanks the management for keeping the flag flying.
Dr Ekpa noted that the school over the years are known for excellences thus hugging parent to be partners in the educational process of training their ward while wishing the school a happy celebration.

The anniversary lecturer Dr Patrick Edem said the right of quantitative education is one of the fundamental right of the children which should not be violated while noting the parent,teachers, proprietor/proprietress, public and the pupils to be stakeholders and partners in the process of giving the children quantitative education.
He maintained who are major stakeholder should not lack behind by providing their children with good schools as well as learning materials to enable then learn effectively.

Giving a vote of thanks, the principal Elder Mrs Offiong Akpan appreciate God for making the event a success as well as thanking the quest, parent, Alumni and all the pupils of the school for finding it fit to grace the occasion thus praying for journey mercies to their various destination. The highlight of the event was: presentation of awards, poem, drama, songs, speaking right, news from kings and queens and a short performance by Udo Miriam Theatre Group.
