Popular Akwa Ibom Comedian, Camcoda has many reasons to celebrate his existence on earth. One of such is to celebrate his survival from the bullets men of the underworld released into his limb rendering him incapacitated for about 9 months.
The comic actor whose real name is Ekemini Sampson Akpan disclosed to Benny Jackson of ibomreporters.com that after passing through such a traumatic experience, he has decided to testify of God’s goodness in his life.
Recounting the ordeal, the Marshal Art Entertainment boss stated, “On Saturday 9th January, 2016 around 6am, I was shot by armed robbers who collected my car in front of my house. It was very critical because it was an AK 47 gun and 3 bullets were fired into my left leg which scattered my tibia and fibula into pieces. I was immediately rushed to University of Uyo Teaching Hospital emergency unit where Doctors battled to save my life.”
“I stayed in the Teaching Hospital orthopedic ward for over 4 months without any genuine improvement and I was discharged. I came back home and employed the services of a traditional bone doctor who God passed through to give hope and restoration to my left leg. My condition was very critical and I was on clutches for about 9 months, my left leg was not on the ground throughout this period.
The hospital even made my situation worse when they applied fiberglass cast on my leg, this cast decayed my skin and my left leg was close to being amputated but God rescued me and restored my leg through the native bone doctor, My car that was stolen, the police have not been able to recover it till today, but I thank God for life and I know the future is bright”, the AKBC presenter added.
The comedian also revealed that he has decided to organize a thanksgiving service tagged “Testimony of Camcoda” billed for Sunday 4th December, 2016 by 9am at Peculiar Redemption Congregation, 12 Obot Street, opposite Itam Market, Uyo.
Those to grace the event include; Pastor Michael Bush, Godfada Uko, Ekpeno Gold, David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom), Barr Mfon Udeme, Moses Armstrong, Hon Idorenyin Raphael, Breakthrough David, Victor Williams, Engr Bassey Ekpokai and fellow comedian, Sir James.
The highly elated comic actor also stated, “For I’m not better than the many youths that have died this year, but God preserved my life.” He enjoined all Akwa Ibom people to join him on that day and thank God for sparing his life.
